Cupcakes by Edi

Back in the office last Monday with smile on my face when I saw a box (well, almost a box) of cupcakes left in the fridge for me. The most sweetest thing of the week after getting tired of Jelajah at Kedah on the weekend!

It was a homemade wedding gift from Kak Ina, she wanted to give me those lovely cuppies since a week before my wedding. So, En. Zul (her husband - my colleague) brought them on Friday but I was on leave that day, away to Kedah. And so he left the cuppies in the office frigde until I got them on Monday.

Her Strawberry Choc Chips and Vanilla Oreo flavored cupcakes are so nice. And her ideas on the cuppies... so adorable! I love them!

Visit her blog and you can order the cupcakes for any occasion. You can also join her Cupcake Class. And hey, this one also can be a very cute wedding favor!

Enjoy!

The colleagues had the rest!

He is...

One dedicated person, a loving husband he is.
Romantic in his own way, he always make me smile.
He is so dear, he holds me tight.
He leads, he loves and he brings more sweetness into my life.

p/s: I love you, Honey.

Bila kena tinggal sorang-sorang kat rumah, inilah jadinya.

Tapi nak buat apa dengan stamped doilies ni ye? Hmm... Just wait and see.

See ya!

Falafel Sandwich, anyone?

Again, I went to the Saba, a middle-eastern cuisine restaurant in Cyberjaya last night just to have their Falafel Sandwich for my dinner. Last time I had it when we had our lunch there after the Try-Out at Putrajaya last weekend.

Back in 2006, when I was in Australia, having my aviation course the for almost a year, kebabs, pides and falafels were the weekly must-have food. And very tasty to have them together with cheese or hummus or even tabuleh. Ooohh... sooo yummy!

After getting back to Malaysia, I had once tried to make my homemade falafel from the recipe I'd found in the internet (teringin punya pasal!) And it worked!

But now I know where to find the best falafel sandwich with a good price. It's only RM5. For the Mid-eastern food lover out there, you must try this!

Falafel, fries and vegies, wrapped with the tortilla.

Chicken Sandwich for Mr. Husband.

Enjoy the meal!

:: DIY Wedding :: White. Oh!

When I was sent to Kota Kinabalu last year by the Institute to interview some students prior to further their study in our place, I happened to walk alone from the hotel to Pasar Filipina, the well-known local craft market.

Thinking of buying some souvenirs for people in Semenanjung, I walked inside the market and was frenzied by all handmade stuff they put up for sale. Pearls, beads, crystals, shell craft... everything!

I ended up with buying some crystal bracelets, pearls and a few strings of crystal beads. I was thinking of making hair accessories with the beads, but after a few months they were still on the strings.

Finally, an idea came to my head when someone told me to put something on my handmade white chiffon flower headband I'd made for my wedding. She said it looked plain and I had to add some colors on it. So, I decided to bind the beads with the silver wires and wound them around the flowers.

And this is the one that I'd worn during the solemnization together with the white laced veil.

That's all!
Happy Weekend!

::DIY Wedding:: The Shoe Clips

I spent less on the shoes for my wedding. I bought only a pair of silvery white shoes and I wore them in both ceremonies - at Ipoh and Gombak. But it was a different thing when I had an orange-colored Baju Kurung and Imran had a black suit with an orange theme, and I had an out-of-theme pair of shoes.

Just so that the shoes wouldn't look so much different, I need something orange to put on. I've made a pair of shoe clips. Made of orange satin and white organza. Beaded and a clip was handsewn at the back of each.

Generally, the shoes still looked out-of-theme. But, does it matter? Well, in Malay's wedding it does (I guess). But, who cares? I like to be different, by the way. (even though, a night before the ceremony at Gombak, I told Imran that I was thinking I'd look different and what would people say. And I asked if I could buy a new shoes. But he said, "Just don't care of what people say. It's our wedding.". Yeah, he was right.)

Well, those shoes, they made my day! Yeay!

I love myself!

See ya!

:: DIY Wedding :: The Labels

Some of you may familiar with this label. Yes, I've been inspired when I found this site by Betsy White. And she kindly permit the reader to download the label thru her site. She even put the tutorial for this.

And I've redesigned the label suits to my wedding. Still used the same template, but I added our name at the top of the wordings.

How did I do that? Simple. By an intelligent copy-and-paste procedure. As easy as that!

I hope this idea also inspires you for your own wedding. Love you!

Till then! Ta-ta!
